Lou was the oldest in a family of four boys. I'll do individual posts on each of the boys, but this will provide the background information.- Louis Edward was born 16 March 1923
- Charles Lee joined him on 1 September 1925
- Jesse Eldon increased the number of boys on 7 September 1927
- Delbert Llewellyn completed the family with his birth on 26 May 1934

This was at the start of the depression and while Mom would have like to have a picture of each of us on the pony, we couldn't afford that. She managed to get one picture with all of us in it.

Those traveling photographers had a pony and one set of western clothes. Notice that the boys have split up the clothes: Eldon is wearing the chaps, Chuck has the hat, and Lou is wearing the vest. That way they all could look a little western, but Mom only had to buy one picture.
